| Come join your fellow City of San Mateo neighbors on August 21st from 6:00 to 7:00 pm for an online community discussion of Windy Hill Property Ventures proposal to redevelop the former site of The Fish Market site at 1855 S Norfolk St into 260 NEW homes. The proposal includes 26 DEEPLY affordable homes for rent to our most vulnerable community members! | Redwood City’s Peninsula ADU Tour |
| Redwood City is partnering with developer Inspired ADUs to host a countywide tour of over a dozen accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on the Peninsula! ADUs, sometimes called backyard cottages or granny flats, can provide somewhat more affordable housing options in high-cost, low-density neighborhoods. |
| | Over the last eight years, ADU production has increased faster than any other housing type. This event will equip attendees with knowledge and inspiration to build their own ADUs. |

| | San Mateo General Plan Update Heading to the Ballot |
| After approximately seven years of discussion, the San Mateo City Council voted unanimously to place a measure on the November ballot to increase the allowable heights and densities described in San Mateo’s General Plan. HLC’s policy committee will review the measure at a special meeting this Friday, August 2, and the board will take a final position early next month. |

| | Supervisor Noelia Corzo’s office is beginning the next cycle of district-specific Measure K grants, offering $650,000 in funding to meet the needs of the D2 community. Priority will be given to applications that promote affordable housing, community safety and wellness, equity, justice, and representation. |

The San Mateo County Housing Portal is the County’s one stop shop for finding and applying for affordable housing. Several properties have units currently available and/or have opened their waitlists for future availability but time is running out! |
