This tool is now live and lists every high-impact policy in housing elements across San Mateo County. "High impact" means policies with clear deadlines and deliverables reflecting local initiatives. | The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) has released their annual Out of Reach report looking at rent affordability across the nation, in which they found that California Is the least affordable state to live in. San Mateo County in particular, was found to be one of the top 2 most unaffordable counties (tied with San Francisco and Marin), requiring a minimum household income of $134,360 to afford Fair Market Rent for a two bedroom home. |
