Thank You to Jordan Grimes -- HLC Policy Committee Co-Chair, No on Y Campaign Co-Chair, member of One San Mateo, and Co-Founder of Peninsula for Everyone

Dear Jordan,

Remember three years ago, when you went to a neighborhood meeting because some housing was being proposed by your house? You weren’t a housing advocate then, but you were brave enough to stand up and say, “We need to build these homes.” The opposition to the new development was loud and not very nice, but you were not intimidated.

This Monday, three years after you learned about “housing twitter,” that proposal was finally approved, and it didn’t lose a single home in the process. Thanks to your work, our allies, and some well-written state laws, all 961 homes were approved. We see your leadership and appreciate your efforts.

Thanks for your advocacy, Jordan. Thanks for seeing these homes all the way through.

Sincerely,

Everyone at HLC
